Mary O’Brien is a travel and design journalist who is always dreaming of her next adventure. She has written for a range of publications including Qantas, Sunday Life, Domain, Life & Leisure, Vacations & Travel and other magazines.
In the past, she was a contributor to The Sunday Age M magazine travel section and Traveller.com.au She was editor of the start-up GOxplore magazine in 2016.
She was on staff at The Age newspaper for 14 years until she opted for the freedom of freelancing. In the past, she worked in Hong Kong and Ireland. She is a long-standing member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW) and the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA).
